Hello world!
After several days of setting up my server with Slicehost and sweating over all the minor details, I am happy to release my website to the internet.
I envision this site to be a space where I can share my thoughts and expertise on software / web development with the rest of the community. Please stay tuned for tutorial write-ups, thoughts on software design, and reports from the trenches of development.
Thanks for all those who have taken time to go through the site, given me feedback, and corrected my poor spelling.
Also, special thanks to the Wordpress community for making such a fine product. It has literally saved me hundreds of hours of foolishly reinventing the wheel and allowed me to launch my vision rapidly. Wordpress is an amazing piece of software and all the user contributed plugins make things even better. Hopefully, one day I can contribute something beneficial to the community as well.

Build highly scalable web applications in Ruby on Rails, PHP MVC, and Python / Django.
Apache, MySQL, Memcache, CRON jobs, and the magic sauce that make web apps tick.
Develop applications for iPhone and OS X in Objective-C / Cocoa for kicks and giggles.

Any interest in learning Joomla component development?
Thanks a lot, Jonathon.
Haven’t really had a chance to check out Joomla yet, but if it’s the right tool for the project I would definitely consider it. Any advantages Joomla has over say Drupal?
